Utah Operation Lifesaver
Operation Lifesaver is a nationwide, non-profit public awareness and education program dedicated to ending deaths and injuries at highway-rail grade crossings and on railroad property.
Utah Operation Lifesaver wants you and your neighbors to be safe around tracks and trains! Our volunteer speakers, called Presenters, are available, free of charge, to provide important safety information to professional truck and bus drivers, school bus drivers, drivers education classes, elementary school students, law enforcement and emergency responders.

Virginia Operation Lifesaver
Virginia Operation Lifesaver (VAOL) is a public safety education and awareness organization dedicated to reducing fatalities, injuries and collisions at highway-rail crossings and trespassing on or near railroad tracks. VAOL promotes rail safety through public awareness campaigns, educational initiatives. Our volunteers speak to a wide variety of audiences; schools, communities, new and professional drivers, law enforcement and others.
Virginia Operation Lifesaver, Inc. was incorporated in 2002. It amended its name in April 2013 to Virginia/District of Columbia/Maryland Operation Lifesaver, Inc. It managed the entire region until June of 2018. Currently, Virginia Operation Lifesaver is administered by the Utility and Railroad Safety (URS) Division of the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC). The SCC is a constitutionally created department of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Washington Operation Lifesaver
Washington Operation Lifesaver (WAOL) is a free public service education program dedicated to preventing and reducing fatalities and injuries at highway-rail grade crossings and along railroad rights-of-way. We educate the public on highway-rail grade crossing safety and provide vital information about the dangers encountered when people trespass on railroad property. We also get involved with engineering projects to improve public safety, and we work with the law enforcement community in an effort to reduce grade crossing and trespass incidents. WAOL is part of a national program known as Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (OLI). Both WAOL and OLI are non-profit organizations. WAOL is sponsored by: BNSF Railroad, Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, Washington State Patrol, Washington State Dept. of Transportation, AMTRAK, Union Pacific Railroad, Sound Transit, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Federal Railroad Administration, Washington Traffic Safety Commission, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and the United Transportation Union.

West Virginia Operation Lifesaver
West Virginia Operation Lifesaver is a nonprofit (501 (c)3), public safety, education group. It is our goal to prevent injuries and fatalities at highway-rail grade crossings in our state and to prevent injuries and fatalities to those who chose to trespass on railroad property. Our group consists mainly of transportation and education professionals who volunteer their time to speak to thousands of West Virginians each year.
