Since 1928 Sperry Rail Service has been pioneering rail flaw detection. Our continuing enhancements have maintained us as a long-standing company with forward vision. Today when combined with ultrasonics, the complementary techniques lead to an improved and effective rail flaw detection test package. The form of induction used today has been extended from rail bound to Hi-rail cars offering greater flexibility. This technology utilizes current injected into the rail and sensors to detect magnetic field disturbances as a means of identifying rail flaws.
