Industries and Occupations database - University of Washington

The Industries and Occupations database is an ongoing digital collection of photographs documenting the workers of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, primarily from the 1880s to the 1940s. Included are images of the logging and lumber industry, shipping, fisheries, oystering and canning, agriculture, blacksmithing, bridge building and road construction, coal and gold mining. The activities of photographers at work, linotype operators and fur trappers are also represented.
