Maryland - Allegheny Highlands Trail

The Allegheny Highlands Trail in Maryland (AHTM), when completed, will link the C&O Canal Trail from Washington, D.C. to Cumberland, MD, to a series of hiking/biking trails in Pennsylvania, resulting in a continuous trail of almost 400 miles from Washington, D.C. to Pittsburgh. The Cumberland to Pittsburgh project is under the general coordination of the Allegheny Trail Alliance. "Ride On" this unusual trail and share the road with "Mountain Thunder," a working steam locomotive.
