Locomotives International

The UK's leading enthusiast magazine devoted to worldwide railways of all gauges. Locomotives International magazine was launched in October 1989 by the late Donald Binns. After over twenty years as an important part of the railway publishing scene, it was taken over and successfully relaunched by current owners Mainline & Maritime in late 2012. A year later, in November 2013, it took over the publication of material formerly published in the Continental Railway Journal, the one-time house magazine of the Continental Railway Circle. At this time, publication was increased from quarterly to bi-monthly, and shortly thereafter the size of the magazine was also increased to accommodate the growing volume of material being received for publication.
