Connecticut - Connecticut Rail Commuter Council

Welcome! The Connecticut Commuter Rail Council is an independent board that acts as an advocate for commuters on railroad lines throughout the state, including the New Haven line, New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury branches, Shore Line East, and the planned New Haven-Hartford-Springfield line.

Council members are appointed by the Governor and senior leaders of the General Assembly. We work with the Department of Transportation and Metro North Railroad to bring forth the experiences of rail commuters and ensure their voices are heard. We are committed to improving the commuting experience for everyone.
