Maryland - Western Maryland Scenic Railway

Cumberland, MD - Travel back through time aboard our restored diesel locomotive on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. You'll climb through the Allegheny Mountains on the Western Maryland #501, a GP30 built in the 1960's, easily recognizable due to its high profile and stepped cab roof, unique among American locomotives. A narrator will be on-board to provide you with interesting historical facts and significant cultural locations along the route to Frostburg.
