California High Speed Rail Blog
Robert Cruickshank founded this site in March 2008 to fill gaps. There wasn't a good, independent source of information online about high speed rail, and there didn't seem to be any active grassroots advocacy for the project and Proposition 1A. During 2008 this blog played a key role in not only filling those gaps, but providing important facts, analysis, and arguments for California's high speed rail project. In November 2008, California voters showed their support for high speed rail by approving Proposition 1A.

National Corridors Initiative Inc
The National Corridors Initiative exists to further the rapid development of practical, attainable High-Speed Rail transportation. Our initial efforts have involved the successful [thus far] securing of funds to permit modernization of the Northeast Corridor;
we plan to continue these efforts, and to create similar Initiatives or help to sustain those that already exist, in other Corridors in the United States and Canada, which would lend themselves to modernization / electrification using the National Corridors Initiative as the vehicle to do so.
