California High Speed Rail Blog
Robert Cruickshank founded this site in March 2008 to fill gaps. There wasn't a good, independent source of information online about high speed rail, and there didn't seem to be any active grassroots advocacy for the project and Proposition 1A. During 2008 this blog played a key role in not only filling those gaps, but providing important facts, analysis, and arguments for California's high speed rail project. In November 2008, California voters showed their support for high speed rail by approving Proposition 1A.

Cascadia High Speed Rail
Our mission is to design, organize support and develop a high-speed and commuter express rail corridor in the beautiful countryside of the Pacific Northwest between Eugene, Oregon and Vancouver, British Columbia. As a vital part of this new and dynamic transportation system, we suggest locations for station hubs to network with transit, buses, bikes, pedestrians and autos.

Cascadia High Speed Rail, LLC is a private for profit limited liability Company, the only one of its kind in the Northwest. Since 2007 it has developed a conceptual plan for a 460< miles high speed rail corridor in the right of ways of I-5, Union Pacific RR, Burlington Northern Santa Fe RR and other private/public lands. NW CHSR, LLC, will contact private parties, legislative members, mayors, governors and others, in an effort to secure private and public funds to pay for CHSR corridor development.

High-Speed Rail in America: Let's Build it Now!
This page and its title are in response to Governor Bush's cancellation of the Florida FOX high-speed rail project. I do not intend to suggest that high-speed trains alone are the solution to our transport problems. I only wish to show the need for reasonably balanced transportation.

National Corridors Initiative Inc
The National Corridors Initiative exists to further the rapid development of practical, attainable High-Speed Rail transportation. Our initial efforts have involved the successful [thus far] securing of funds to permit modernization of the Northeast Corridor; we plan to continue these efforts, and to create similar Initiatives or help to sustain those that already exist, in other Corridors in the United States and Canada, which would lend themselves to modernization / electrification using the National Corridors Initiative as the vehicle to do so.
