Alberta - Iron Horse Park
Airdrie, AB - The miniature trains, track and landscape at Iron Horse Park represent the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) from the prairies to the coast. Take the 1.6km interpretive journey aboard one of the 1/8th scale diesel or steam locomotives at the park and get a feeling of what the railway was like in Western Canada during the pioneer days. The journey will take you over hills, across trestles and through tunnels across the varied landscape.
Snacks and souvenirs can be found in the full size replica of a CPR station on site. Picnic tables on site provide a place for small family gatherings.
The park is owned and operated by the Alberta Model Engineering Society, which was incorporated in 1971. Anyone who wants to volunteer is welcome to come and put their skills to work by helping create and maintain a unique and special place within the community. The park is a work in progress with big ideas to add a small scale farmstead, town and industries typical to the journey.

British Columbia - Burnaby Central Railway
Vancouver, BC - You've arrived at the web site of the Burnaby Central Railway. Landscaping of our current site included 8,500 loads of fill from the Cassiar Connector highway project with which we created four hills, adding interest and variety to the ride.
Over the years we've added more track and now there is over 2 miles of main line on which to run our trains. Tunnels, bridges, crossovers and spirals have been added as money, and donations of manpower and material have been made available.
The BCR is a work in progress and we are always planning and working on new developments, including signalling systems, a raised track for 1/12 and 1/16 scale models, and many other railway features.

Ontario - Frontenac Society of Model Engineers
Battersea, ON - The Frontenac Society of Model Engineers Inc. (FSME) is a society whose members have a common interest in Model Engineering.
Our mission is to foster an appreciation of and continue the knowledge of machinery, transport and equipment, from the industrial revolution to the present day. This is typically achieved by recreating, in miniature, working or non-working models of any kind of machinery or transport item, be they powered by steam, internal combustion, electricity, or other means.
On the model railway front, we own a coal fired 3-1/2" gauge Hudson (4-6-4) steam locomotive for members use, so you don't have to build your own to join in the fun!
Our tracks include 7-1/4" gauge ground level, running through field and trees, and multi gauge elevated tracks. The club has 100 feet of 3-1/2" gauge, and 100 feet of 7-1/4" gauge, portable track that can be set up at local shows, for demonstrations and to give rides to the public.
