Beaulieu Monorail
The Beaulieu monorail system, which opened in July 1974, passes through the Museum at high level, giving visitors a fine aerial view of the historic vehicle collection.
The two electrically powered trains run on 110v DC and can carry up to 50 passengers each. They run on a circuit between a station near the Motor Museum to a station in the gardens of Palace House, close to the ruins of Beaulieu Abbey. The return route passes through the trees between the Museum and the Beaulieu River, giving high-level views of the grounds and gardens.
