the Idiot Railfan
You have found the home of the Idiot Railfan. The purpose of this website is
to try to put a little more personality into the hobby (and I know that there
are some railfans out there that need a good spike of personality!). There's
no doubt that trains retain those bold, powerful, and colorful characteristics
which attract us to them; the photo galleries that are provided here exemplify
that. I just want to poke fun at the people that go ga-ga over them (me,
included)!

The TrainPixs Network
The TrainPixs Network was created for the intent to inform railfans about different subjects dealing with our hobby. This site was created by a railfan, for a railfan. All the information on this site has either been learned by "the school of life" or by research on the internet, sources or others in the hobby. Also on the site, we present information about railfanning in the Kansas City metro.

Tim and Trains
Now, people are always asking me "So, what's the attraction to trains?". I can't say that I really know the answer. I've just loved them since I was a little kid. If you've ever been close to a train as it's been screaming past the RR crossing you know how impressive they are. There's something very romantic about railroads to me, especially when riding one. If you're a rail fan, you know exactly what I'm talking about... if not, I won't try to explain it! ;-)

Western Railroaders' Hall of Fame & Museum
The Western Railroaders' Hall Of Fame & Museum provides a way to honor railroaders across the mid- and western part of North America. The purpose is to educate through words and museum experiences about contributions railroaders have made. The emphasis is on those who have helped build and operate railroads in the mid- and western United States, western Canada, and Mexico using interpretive displays of memorabilia and equipment. You can nominate a railroader. Tell us why he/she should be included in the hall of fame.
