The San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) is the seventh-largest public transit system in the United States, as measured by ridership. Muni has approximately 700,000 boardings on an average weekday. Its fleet of about 1,000 vehicles, over half of which are electric, consists of subway-surface light-rail vehicles (Metro streetcars), electric trolley buses, diesel buses, the world-famous cable cars, the only ones in the world still operating, and a unique collection of historic streetcars. Santa Clara, CA - Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority
VTA operates an extensive network of local bus routes serving the urbanized portions of Santa Clara county. These routes serve main arterial streets, neighborhoods/residential areas, shopping, schools, employment areas and other businesses. Approximately 80% of Santa Clara County residents are within a quarter mile of a transit route.
VTA offers more than 42.2 miles of light rail service through the cities of San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Campbell and Mountain View. There are 62 convenient stops along the system, including: residential areas of South San Jose, Downtown San Jose, San Jose Civic Center, North First Street high-tech area, Great America theme park, Tasman Drive high-tech and residential areas, Downtown Campbell, Lockheed Martin, Middlefield Road industrial areas, and Downtown Mountain View.

Tacoma, WA - Link Light Rail
The 1.6-mile Tacoma Link light rail line currently serves six stations between the Theater District and Tacoma Dome Station. Trains run every 12 minutes during the day and served one million riders in 2012. Voters approved Sound Transit 2 in 2008, which included funding for a partnership to explore options for expanding Tacoma Link.

Tampa - TECO Line Streetcar System
The TECO Line Streetcar System is a public investment designed to support continued growth in downtown Tampa, Channelside and Ybor City. The first phase of Tampa's new electric streetcar system will be a 2.3 mile section that will connect these three areas.
A ride from downtown Tampa to Ybor City on the TECO Line Streetcar System will take 22 minutes and make 11 stops. Streetcars will run seven days a week with extended hours on the weekend.
