Arkansas - Arkansas Railroad Club
The Arkansas Railroad Club is a non-profit organization of railroad and train enthusiasts (prototype trains, not model trains) that was formed in 1969. We are also the Little Rock Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. We meet on the second Sundays of most months at 2 p.m.

San Jose, CA - Established in 1982, CTRC, the California Trolley and Railroad Corporation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and reflect the rich legacy of rail transportation in the Santa Clara Valley for the educational and recreational benefit of current and future generations.

Among the numerous projects underway is the restoration of Southern Pacific steam locomotive 2479. CTRC has restored for operation a number of historic trolley cars.

A major undertaking is the creation of the San Jose Steam Railroad Museum with the focal point becoming the former six stall Lenzen Roundhouse and turntable.

Electric Railway Historical Association of Southern California. After nearly 50 years of operation, the ERHA has collected a considerable amount of Southern California traction materials; which we refer to as our "Archives." This collection includes everything from donated member photos, movies, slides and videos, to original streetcar company documents all the way up to our two Pacific Electric transit buses, (undergoing restoration) and our three retired Los Angeles Railway Streetcars on permanent loan to the Orange Empire Railway Museum.

California - Golden Gate Railroad Museum (GGRM)
Shellville, CA - The Golden Gate Railroad Museum (GGRM) is dedicated to the preservation of steam and passenger railroad equipment, and the interpretation of railroad history in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit institution.

In 2005, the Hunters Point facility was closed for remediation, and the GGRM collection was moved to the Niles Canyon Railway where operation and restoration efforts continued until 2016. In early 2017 the GGRM announced that the organization would be moving to a new home in Shellville on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad. Restoration work shifted to the task of preparing the entire collection for the mainline move to Shellville.

San Dimas, CA - Pacific Railroad Society, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) social organization staffed by volunteers. The Society supports rail car preservation and restoration; railroad excursions; a museum which preserves and displays railroad literature, photos, artifacts and a resource library; railroad related education; social events; and publications. The public is welcome to participate in the Society's events, operations, and facilities. The Society is funded by membership, donations, wants, and fundraising activities.

SBRHS promotes the historical and social significance of railroads in the southwest through the operation and display of steam locomotive 3751.

Owner-operator of ex-Santa Fe steam engine No. 3751. The SBRHS was formed in 1981 to restore Santa Fe locomotive 3751, and is composed of hundreds of individuals interested in the heritage and preservation of The Steam Era. Accountants, artists, small business owners, dentists, designers, engineers, railroaders, retired railroaders, pharmacists, painters, truck drivers, mechanics, welders, politicians, and lawyers all work side by side with the same goals in mind.

California - San Diego Electric Railway Association
The San Diego Electric Railway Association (SDERA) is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the San Diego Electric Railway - San Diego's primary streetcar system which operated from the late 1800s to 1949.

SDERA is also the operator of the National City Depot, an historic Santa Fe railroad station. We operate a railroad and local history museum within the depot, and the depot is open to the public. A large model-railroad exhibit, operated by our 3-Rail model railroad group, is also included in the museum displays. All train buffs, local historians, and people looking for an interesting "day out" in the San Diego area are encouraged to visit the depot, join with us, and help us grow into a major destination within San Diego County.

San Leandro, CA - The San Leandro depot was built in 1898 to replace the original San Leandro depot, built by the Central Pacific Railroad. The depot is open every Saturday from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. It is also open Tuesday evenings from approximately 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
