The next building to the right is the Massie Wireless System station, "PJ", built in 1907. It is the oldest surviving working wireless station in the world. It was moved to this site from Point Judith, RI in 1982 to avoid demolition. The building in the center houses the stationary steam engine collection. Tennessee - Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers, Inc.
Ed Pick
Dunlap, TN - The Chattanooga Society of Model Engineers, Inc (CSME) is a recognized 501c3 organization for people primarily interested in preserving and educating others in the important part railroads contributed to the US history through examples in large scale model railroading. During visits, organized civic groups are shown how railroads work, the equipment involved in railroading and the part railroads play in the U.S. economy and history.
While the club does not have its own property, it is assisting in building the Eagle Point Railroad (EPRR), a 7 ½ inch gauge (1/8th scale) railroad on private property in Dunlap TN, about 50 miles northwest of Chattanooga, TN. In exchange, the club has full use of the railroad for it's education activities and members use.

Texas - Marek Mountain Mining & Railroad Company
San Antonio, Texas - This is a freelance, narrow gauge railroad that you can ride! The track gauge is 7 1/2 inches wide (the same gauge that many call "live steam" ).
My railroad will include a track around my home in San Antonio, Texas.
I am building "narrow gauge" equipment, to operate on a freelance railroad
that will be modeling a "two foot gauge" mining shortline, with switching.
My equipment will be in 3 3/4" scale (often rounded to 4inch scale for easy math ).
This means, the equipment will almost be 1/3 the size of the real thing!
Most folks who model trains this size and on this gauge of track, are
in 1 1/2 inch scale or 1.5" to the foot, for "standard gauge" modeling.
