Maryland - Calvert Central
Calvert, MD - The Calvert Central is a 1:8 scale, 7.5-inch-gauge ride-on railroad located in Calvert, Maryland.
It was started in October 2008. It currently consists of an 1217-foot main line with 16 turnouts, 2
crossings, and a 3-track storage yard in a large shed. Equipment includes a "Galloping Goose"
rail truck, two 4-wheeled diesel locomotives, an 0-4-0 Camelback locomotive, a GP35, 6 riding
cars, and a caboose. All engines run on battery power with mechanisms and controllers supplied
by Ride Trains of West Valley City, Utah.

Maryland - Chesapeake & Allegheny Live Steamers
Baltimore, MD - We are a Non-Profit Live Steam Club in Baltimore Maryland located in Leakin Park on Windsor Mill Road.
Our public run days are the Second Sunday of each month from April to November. The rides are free and there are picnic tables nearby for those who wish to make a day of it. Our track consists of (depending on who measures) 3200 ft-3400 ft, 7-1/2" double tracked main line, 1630 ft of 4-3/4" on the ground, and 1050 ft of elevated 4-3/4" and 3-1/2" track located on about 11.5 acres.

Maryland - Little Sykes Railway Park
Sykesville, MD - Railway Operations: Railway Park operates a 1949 twelve-gauge train which young kids can ride. Rides are free but donations are greatly appreciated to help with the maintenance.
Historical Significance: In 1999 the Town acquired a 1949 12-gauge miniature train built by the Miniature Train Company. With the help of volunteers like Richard Doxzen, the town located the miniature train to town-owned land along Sandosky Road. Little Sykes Train Station was dedicated on November 13, 2004.

Massachusetts - Pioneer Valley Live Steamers
Southwick, MA - Pioneer Valley Live Steamers (PVLS) is located in Southwick, Massachusetts. The track at PVLS consists of 4580 feet of ground level rails and 1140 feet of elevated track. The elevated track has two gauges. The smallest is 3.5 inch gauge, 3/4" to the foot scale and the next is 4.75 inch gauge, 1" to the foot scale. The gauge is the dimension between the rails. The ground level track is 7.25 gauge and most of the engines on this track are made to 1.5 inches to the foot scale.
We have recently added support for Gauge 1 track as well. The club has a large double loop on aluminum tables for track powered engines

Massachusetts - Waushakum Live Steamers
Holliston, MA - The Waushakum Live Steamers club exists to promote interest in and knowledge of steam locomotion, especially on rails. It is open to all who have a sincere interest in the subject. The primary activity of the club is to maintain an outdoor track, where members can operate scale steam locomotives. The present track accommodates equipment in 1ÂÂ, 3/4ÂÂ and 1-1/2Âh to the foot scales (1/12 and 1/16 and 1/8 of full size). These engines will pull the engineer and several passengers on riding cars.
The club owns several locomotive, which will be used as tools for teaching safe and successful operating procedures to all members. Qualified members may than operate them for practice.

Fairview, MI - The Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad is proud to feature a 1/4 scale passenger train ride through the beautiful scenic landscape of Northern Michigan. Operating on weekends and holidays during the summer months, Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad is located near the AuSable River in jackpine country offering its visitors a relaxing 18 minute rail adventure that travels through a jackpine forest, the Huron National Forest and overlooks the beautiful Comins Creek Valley.
Passengers young and old travel through a 115 foot wooden tunnel making their way towards two breathtaking wooden trestles.
The first trestle stretches over 220 feet long and overlooks the beautiful Comins Creek Valley filled with wildlife such as deer, beaver, red hawks, heron, and even an occasional bear or elk!
Your journey continues through the forest, across the second wooden trestle, around an old log homestead, past antique cars, and back around through the woods where you return safely to the station

Michigan - Michigan Central Railroad
A private 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad
Welcome to the Michigan Central Railroad website. The railroad is located on 10 acres of land in Michigan. The terrain consists of 1/3 open and 2/3 wooded area with the railroad maintaining a maximum of 2% grade on the mainline and 3%+ on the branch line. It is operated as point to point railroad. The MCRR utilizes over 150 switches.
Some of the features of the railroad include a round house with 26 stalls serviced by a 24' powered turntable. Approximately 1000' of track in car barn storage. Load/unload transfer table. Eleven elevated steaming bays with transfer table,water and electricity.

Michigan - North American Model Engineering Society (N.A.M.E.S.)
Michigan based scale model builders that hold a yearly Expo that the public can attend. Several hundred gas, steam, diesel, hot air engines on display. This EXPO is held at the Yack Arena in Wyandotte, Michigan and is attended by thousands of model engineering enthusiasts and vendors of model engineering materials and supplies.
The North American Model Engineering Society (NAMES) is dedicated to promoting the hobby of model engineering by sponsoring the annual North American Model Engineering Exposition.
