We are a hobby club for the whole family. Welcome to our railroad!

California - Sagebrush Short Line Railroad
Ridgecrest, CA - Sagebrush Short Line Railroad is a privately owned railroad and visitors are encouraged to attend our events. Email or call in advance, as these events are by invitation only.
The Pruitt's decided to do something with the four acres they lived on. It looked mighty empty with just greasewood and sand surrounding their home in the Mojave Desert. Why not build a 7-½ inch gauge railroad and have it run the length and width of the property! Great idea, right? This way the Pruitt's could run their trains whenever they want to, and they could invite friends whose interest in 7-½ inch gauge railroading was as enthusiastic as theirs. Well, doesn't everyone want a railroad on their property? You say to yourself, a couple of kooks, right?? Nah! Just a couple of railroad supporters who like to share their interests with those around them. So, that is what George and Linda, along with over 100 volunteers, which are called Tie Owners are doing ...building a railroad, the SAGEBRUSH SHORTLINE RAILROAD to be exact.

Rocky Mountain Rails is a private, nonprofit club dedicated to building and operating an
outdoor riding model railroad. Our members have varied hobby interests and skills,
even beyond railroading, which makes belonging to our organization fun and
educational. As a club, we enjoy many activities at our tracksite including run days,
work days, pot lucks, picnics and other social gatherings. We welcome families of members and guests.
Rocky Mountain Rails members have unlimited usage of the club facilities. Often, our
members use the tracksite as a place for a quiet picnic or just to get away from the
crowds at other local recreational areas. We have a beautiful picnic pavilion with lots of
picnic tables for gatherings. Many of our members own locomotives and riding cars, but this is not a requirement for admission to the club.

Delaware - Auburn Valley Railroad at The Marshall Steam Museum
Hockessin, DE - The Marshall Steam Museum
Less than five minutes from the center of Hockessin, Delaware the Marshall Steam Museum at Auburn Heights Preserve offers visitors a chance to step back in time and experience life at the dawn of the automotive age. The now-museum was built by T. Clarence Marshall in 1947 to house his growing collection of antique automobiles. Today, visitors can enjoy the many treasures at Auburn Heights thanks to the generosity and vision of Clarence's son, Tom, and his wife, Ruth. In 2008, they gifted to Delaware State Parks the estate land and buildings, including a beautiful 1897 Queen Anne mansion that was the Marshall home, while donating to the Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, the extraordinary vehicles of the Marshall collection. The museum features the world's largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars, a 1916 electric car, and two 1930s Packards, in addition to the Auburn Valley Railroad with its 1/8th-size coal-fired steam trains that circle the property.
