Michigan - Saline Railroad Depot
Saline, MI - The Saline Railroad Depot, with its freight house, telegraph, and passenger facilities, served as a crucial link in the economic transformation that took place between Saline's rural hinterlands and the outside world.
Although all the original surrounding buildings have been removed, the Depot still stands on its original site. During its heyday, the complex consisted of a depot building, storage barn, wool barn, livestock pens, loading facilities, water storage tank and outdoor bathroom.
The Depot Museum is open year round on Saturdays for browsing and for guided tours. Visitors will see a station agent's room, freight room, furnished caboose, and livery barn. A restored Eclipse Windmill is on the property. Regular hours are 11:00-3:00 and by appointment.

Michigan - Steam Railroading Institute
Owosso, MI - The Steam Railroading Institute, dedicated to educating the public about steam-era railroad technology, is the product of the Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation Inc. For many years, the MSTRP centered on a single steam locomotive, former Pere Marquette Railway No. 1225. After 1225's retirement, the locomotive was donated to Michigan State University in 1957, and through the efforts of MSU and Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Board Member Forest Akers. Displayed as an icon of the steam-era, it sat at MSU until 1969, when a group of students took an interest in the locomotive. The Michigan State University Railroad Club was formed at that time with the ambitious goal of restoring 1225 and using it to power excursion trains that would bring passengers to football games at the university. After toiling away at the locomotive for many years, the Michigan State University Railroad Club evolved as the Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation and started its corporate run in July of 1979. Recognizing the daunting task that was ahead of them, the early MSU students saw the necessity to form a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and in 1981, Michigan State University donated 1225 to the newly formed MSTRP. The locomotive was moved to Owosso to former Ann Arbor Railway Backshop in 1982, and restoration of the locomotive continued until 1985, when it moved under its own power for the first in 34 years. Since 1988, #1225 has been maintained in operable condition, and serves a the largest piece of operating steam equipment in the MSTRP/ SRI collection.

Our Depot Museum of Transportation is located on Grand Haven's waterfront in a beautifully restored 1870s railroad depot. Both the building and the exhibits help transport you to a past when the waterfront was the hub for a bustling network of trade one that relied on steamships and trains to move a vast amount of goods and people in and out of the Tri- Cities.
The Tri-Cities' location at the mouth of the Grand River made it a center of commerce for the Great Lakes region. The exhibits in this restored 1870s railroad depot explore the rail, maritime, and land-based transports that kept commerce moving. Minnesota - Como-Harriet Streetcar Line (MTM)
Lakes Harriet, MN - On the shores of Lake Harriet the streetcars ride again. Three restored streetcars ply part of the original right of way that once stretched from Stillwater all the way to Lake Minnetonka. Streetcar No. 1300 was built in St. Paul and served the city faithfully for decades. No. 265, also built in St. Paul, spent its working life in Duluth. PCC No. 322 is a late-model Twin Cities car just recently returned to service. Together, the three give young and old alike an experience that has vanished from the American way of life.
