Great Western Railway of Colorado, LLC (GWRCO)
The Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR) owns and operates a total of 80 miles of track and interchanges with BNSF and UP. Greatly expanding its customer base since its acquisition, GWR has become a vital link in Northern Colorado's transportation network. Currently, GWR serves a diverse base of customers including but not limited to; Anheuser-Busch, Vestas, Front Range Ethanol, Eastman Kodak, Owens-Illinois, AllWeather Wood, Universal Forest Products, Amalgamated Sugar, and Wedron Silica.
The Great Western Railway of Colorado is home to the Great Western Industrial Park, a 700-acre rail served industrial complex that is being developed by Broe Real Estate. Transportation, aggressive development, and Northern Colorado's skilled labor force has attracted many Fortune 500 companies to Northern Colorado where they have made it home.

Gulf & Ohio Railways
Gulf & Ohio Railways, established in 1985, is a holding company for four short line railroads, and the Three Rivers Rambler train ride.
Our railroads operate on 203 miles of track, using approximately 30 locomotives, to haul freight for 64 industrial customers. With over 50 full and part time employees, G&O plays an important role in the local economies where we operate.
G&O is also an affiliate of Knoxville Locomotive Works, a green locomotive manufacturer. KLW was created in 1998 as a locomotive repair and services shop for G&O. This operation now focuses on building single-engine green locomotives.

Hilton & Albany Railroad (HAL)
The Hilton & Albany Railroad (HAL) is a 56-mile short line freight railroad that runs from Hilton to Albany, Georgia, and interchanges with Norfolk Southern and the Chattahoochee Bay, Chattahoochee Industrial and Georgia Southwestern railroads. It primarily handles traffic from Norfolk Southern and also serves several local agricultural and aggregate customers in southwest Georgia.
The HAL was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 2011.

The Huron Central Railway (HCRY) is a 173-mile short line freight railroad that interchanges with Canadian National and Canadian Pacific.
Commodities transported include pulp and paper products, forest products, chemicals, petroleum products, steel and scrap.
The HCRY was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 1997.

Illinois & Midland Railroad (IMRR)
The Illinois & Midland Railroad (IMRR) is a 97-mile short line freight railroad that interchanges with BNSF Railway; Canadian National; Iowa Interstate Railroad; Kansas City Southern Railway; Keokuk Junction Railway; Norfolk Southern; Tazewell & Peoria Railroad; Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway; and Union Pacific Railroad.
Commodities transported include chemicals, coal, food and feed products, forest products, metallic ores and minerals, and municipal solid waste.
The IMRR was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 1996.
In 2010, the IMRR won the President's Award from the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association for best safety rate in the 50,000-150,000 man-hours category.

Illinois Railway, Inc. (IR)
Illinois Railway (IR) is comprised of four track segments aggregating 113 miles of track located just west of the Chicago suburbs. IR services what is often called "the Sand Capital of the World" in northern Illinois.
Customers served include such leading industrial mineral producers as U.S. Silica, Fairmount Minerals, Techni Sand, James Hardie, Watco Reload, ADM, Behr Iron & Minerals, and Unimin Corp.
