Lancaster and Chester Railroad
The L&C Railroad is a privately owned, well-capitalized, dual served, short line railroad based in Lancaster, South Carolina, 35 miles south of Charlotte, NC. We provide customized, competitive rail freight service for our customers and connect them to the national rail network through both CSX (East Chester, SC) and Norfolk Southern (Chester, SC). In December 2010, the L&C Railroad became part of Gulf & Ohio Railways, Inc.
With over 117 years of continuous rail operations, the L&C Railroad provides South Carolina with a strong transportation ally for industrial growth. The Railroad serves over 3,000 acres of industrially zoned property, located only 40 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport..

Laurinburg & Southern
Founded in 1909, the Laurinburg and Southern Railroad is a 28 mile short-line railroad that runs from Raeford to Laurinburg, North Carolina. The railroad has been owned by Gulf & Ohio Railways since 1998.
Interchanging with CSX, the LRS moves 5,800 cars annually utilizing three locomotives. Shipments include glass and chemicals.
The LRS operates on longstanding traditions of safety, customer service, flexibility and innovation.

The Little Rock Port Authority Railroad is a switching railroad that serves the Little Rock Port Industrial Park. The line extends
from its junction with the Union Pacific Railroad and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company near the Little Rock
National Airport to the Arkansas River at the Little Rock Port dock facilities. The system includes several spur lines to
industries within the Industrial District and a marshaling yard where switching takes places between the Little Rock Port
Authority Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company. The Port Railroad
operates on approximately 12 miles of track.

Louisiana & Delta Railroad (LDRR)
The Louisiana & Delta Railroad (LDRR) is a 72-mile short line freight railroad that interchanges with BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad.
Commodities transported include aggregates, brick and cement, chemicals, food and feed products, forest products, and steel and scrap.
The LDRR was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 1987.

Louisiana and North West Railroad (LNW)
The Louisiana and North West Railroad (LNW) is a 68-mile, freight short line railroad headquartered in Homer, Louisiana. The LNW was incorporated in 1889 to take over the former Louisiana North & South Railroad. Today, the LNW operates trains from Gibsland, Louisiana, to McNeil, Arkansas. In addition, LNW owns and operates the 60-acre Iron Bridge Road facility in Gibsland. The railroad interchanges traffic with the Union Pacific at McNeil and with Kansas City Southern at Gibsland.
In addition to the rail line and other track assets, the LNW owns 845 acres of real estate, a general office building, five locomotives, maintenance of way equipment, motor vehicles, a locomotive shop, two rail car repair shops, three rail yards, three communication towers and 27 railcars.

Louisiana Southern Railroad (LAS)
Hodge, LA Gulf Region
The Louisiana Southern Railroad (LAS) began operations September 25, 2005. Watco Companies acquired the railroad from the Kansas City Southern through a lease agreement.
The LAS consists of 157 miles of track. The northern branch runs from Shreveport to Sibley, then north to Springhill, La. Additionally, the southern branch runs from Gibsland to Pineville Junction, La. The LAS interchanges with the KCS at Gibsland, Sibley and Pineville, La.

Louisville & Indiana Railroad (LIRC)
Jeffersonville, IN - The Louisville & Indiana Railroad was formed in March 1994 to acquire 106 miles of rail line between Indianapolis and Louisville. The line serves numerous major companies and an efficient inland port facility. Since formation, L&I has located a number of new industries to its lines. L&I has been designated a future high-speed rail corridor by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
