Georgia - Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
Blue Ridge, GA - Welcome! A great family adventure on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway starts at the historic depot, built in 1905, in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. This charming mountain village is nestled in the lush Chattahoochee National Forest and is known for it's pleasant and unique shopping with friendly folks and an old-time atmosphere.
Total excursion is 26 miles (4 hours roundtrip) winding along the beautiful Toccoa River in passenger's choice of vintage, climate controlled rail cars or open-air rail cars arriving in the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee.
Passengers have a 2 hour layover in McCaysville/Copperhill; plenty of time to eat lunch, shop for unique crafts and antiques, snack on ice cream, or walk across the old bridge in town to view the river.

Georgia - Okefenokee Heritage Center

Exhibits include a 1912 Baldwin steam locomotive with a baggage car, mail car, passenger car, and caboose. There are also exhibits on Native Americans of southeast Georgia, early settlers of the region, the region's African-American heritage, Sacred Harp singing, and the history of newspapers in the region.

Georgia - Southeastern Railway Museum
Duluth, GA - The Southeastern Railway Museum occupies a 35-acre site in Duluth, Georgia, in northeast suburban Atlanta. In operation since 1970, the Southeastern Railway Museum features about 90 items of rolling stock including historic Pullman cars and classic steam locomotives. Ride in restored cabooses behind restored antique diesel locomotives, stand next to the massive driving wheels of the locomotive that once pulled passenger trains to Key West on the railroad that went to sea, tour the business car that helped bring the Olympics to Atlanta, pose on the platform of the private car once used by President Warren G. Harding, and see just how green Southern Railway green can be as you walk the length of the diesel-electric locomotive that ran the point on the last Crescent before AMTRAK assumed control of the famous train.
